Two beds, but I was forever alone.
This was where I stayed for my day in Baltimore about two weeks ago. It really was a nice hotel, and I wish I could’ve stayed in the city longer — even though all the cab drivers are hustlers that put our New York cabbies to shame.
I mean, really, guys? Meters reading $55+ for 30-minute trips? It’s like $25 from Union Square to Crown Heights with moderate traffic on a Friday night. You guys were foul.
Either way, I left New York at 7 p.m. and was in my hotel by about 11. Finally got to sleep around 1 a.m. after going through my interview notes, and was up and at ‘em by 7:30 to get going. It was a good day that ended quickly.
If you ever take an Amtrak, don’t get lured into the luxurious seats with unbelievable leg room. It’s a consolation prize for sitting next to the bathroom. I didn’t realize that until I was about 30 minutes away from Baltimore. I’m not even tall.
